EYEBROW WAXING

 

Effective, long-lasting and as painless as possible, waxing can flawlessly shape and clean up the eyebrows. We use the highest quality of wax to ensure the best results with little to no irritation.

*avoid Retinol creams for 2-5 days prior to waxing

WHAT IS EYEBROW LAMINATION?

 

You can think of eyebrow lamination as a perm for your brows, as it gives them a set, uniform shape for an extended period of time. Instead of the typical curls we think of when getting a perm, we use a setting lotion that helps brow hair stay “brushed up” and lifted upwards for about six weeks.

 

This service is best for clients who want fuller brows, help defining shape and filling gaps, and taming unruly or straight hairs.

 

Eyebrow Lamination can be a good gateway into microblading, as it will give you an idea of what your brows look like fuller. It can also be great for clients with Microblading to set your brow hairs in the same directions as the tattooed strokes.

 

EYEBROW LAMINATION STEPS

 

The first solution used in the lamination process is the permanent gel. The permanent gel will erase the chemical structure of the eyebrow hairs (basically erases the memory of your brow hairs, and makes them forget they are curly, have a cowlick, etc). After the permanent gel is applied all over the brow hairs, we will place a strip of Saran Wrap over the brow. The solution will then sit (this time will be different for each client). 

 

After removing the permanent gel, we’ll move on to applying the second solution. The second solution is the neutralizing cream, which repairs the bonds that were broken in step one, and sets the new direction of hair growth in place. This second step is where we shape (or laminate) the brow hairs to what we want them to look like for the finishing result. This solution will sit for the same amount of time as the first solution.

 

After removing the neutralizing cream, we will tint the brows if the client wishes to add this step to their service.

 

The last step in the brow lamination process will be applying the Regenerating cream to replenish any of the moisture that was lost during the service. This cream does leave a glaze on the brows and will need to stay on the brows for 24 hours. It can then be washed off with a gentle face wash. 

 

BROW LAMINATION AFTERCARE

 

Following your brow lamination appointment, post care is extremely important. We recommend the following aftercare requirements:
Avoid moisture, heat, steam, and working out for about 24 hours.
Avoid sleeping directly on your eyebrows or touching them for 24 hours.
48 hours after your appointment, you may begin applying castor oil or another hydrating balm to the brows daily. We recommend applying hydrating balm during the day and castor oil in the evening.
After showering: While the eyebrows are still wet, use a mascara wand to brush the brow hair into place. This will “set” the brows in place for the day.

We recommend scheduling a brow wax for 3-4 weeks out, and schedule your next lamination for 6-8 weeks out.

WHAT IS EYEBROW TINTING?

 

Tinting your eyebrows is a process of carefully dying the hair with safe, natural tints to give them a darker and more defined appearance without using a brow pencil or mascara. Added benefit to tinting: No makeup residue AND you won’t have to wipe it off at the end of the day.

 

Henna brows are a natural alternative to traditional eyebrow coloring. Traditional eyebrow tints are primarily made of chemicals while most henna brow products are made of natural plant-based ingredients including Lewsonia Insermis aka – henna, a flowering plant commonly used to dye skin, hair and fingernails.

 

Traditionally the stain on the skin from henna brows can last 1-2 weeks and the dye on eyebrows lasts 6-8 weeks, which is significantly longer than traditional tints that only last around 4 weeks.

With regards to how long the henna lasts on the skin, it really depends on the client’s skin type. Clients with oily complexions or in humid climates may find the stain on the skin does not last as long due to the fact their skin will not hold onto the dye for as long. While we love the fact henna stains the skin the true benefit of henna brows is that it is a far superior eyebrow tint.

 

We often call henna brows the gateway to microblading as it gives clients a chance to get used to a new eyebrow look before committing to the microblading procedure.

We also find many clients who are nearing the end of their microblading procedure use henna brows as a way to fill in their brows until their next touch up.

HENNA BROW TINT AFTERCARE

​

Avoid washing/wetting area for at least 24 hours

Avoid sun exposure on the area for 24 hours, this can cause premature fading

Avoid swimming/saunas for at least 24 hours after treatment

Avoid oil-based makeup remover

Do not rub the tinted area

Skin stain results are not guaranteed on all skin types
Results can also vary from 2 – 14 days depending on skin type and color used
